TABLE TOP STILL LIFE; Use of Value
Create a Still-Life 10x14" on 12"x16" Grey MiTientes paper in Gouache or Acrylic painting medium, utilizing Dramatic single light source of 3 objects (light, medium, dark) with varying surface textures (glossy, matte, fuzzy, etc.) The image must contain at least four of the following principles:The Terminator, Core Shadow, Cast Shadow, Highlight, Occlusion Shadow, Reflected Light, Spot Light, Halftone.
ZORN PALETTE; Master's Copy
Limited Palette, and it's harmonic value and consistency.
Create and reproduce a copy of a Master's Work, utilizing the limited Zorn Palette. So choose a work that is appropriate in color scheme, but as far as the subject matter, that will be left to the choice of the student. The work must be something of merit and not flat color. The size must be appropriate for the subject matter and style of the artist chosen. The student may choose which painting medium to paint in; Acrylic, Acryla-Gouache, Gouache, Oil.

Please create 10 black and white tonal thumbnails using only 3-5 major values to interpret from these different range of emotions: Adventure, Awe, Anger, Courage, Despair, Empathy, Envy, Fear, Hope Horror, Isolation, Joy, Love, Mystery, Nostalgia, Suspense, Tranquility, Triumph. You can create 10 different emotional responses, or try out 10 solutions to one emotion, or try any combination. Allow yourself to be inspired.
