Contract and Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to give the student to opportunity to explore ideas, techniques, opportunities for discovery that will help prepare the student for life as a professional artist.
- An initial project scope, outline the hopes and vision the artist/student wishes to explore and plan of accomplishment for the semester. (1-page, with examples)
- 5 completed finished projects to be completed by end of semester.
- Mid Term Review; will consist of a review and critique of the first two projects and a 150-word review describing the Work, working methods, procedures, inspiration, and catalog success and failures experienced during the project.
- Final Review; Critique and review of the 5 finished projects and a Printed and Bound, 300-word review of the project describing and cataloging the full project scope, with illustrations of the work.
- Exit Questionnaire.

Final Questions
And his book, "how to think like Leonardo da Vinci" Michael guild discusses the importance of seven da Vinci and principles that are essential. They are;

- Corpolita-Body, Healthy living, exercise, diet
- Concessione- Connections between multiple disciplines.
He also stresses continual Self-Examination and Evaluatuon. Know yourself, both your strengths and your weaknesses and then discover ways to improve yourself. Please feel out these questions and utilize this time for self inspection.
- Did I meet my intended goals for this semester of independent study?
- Explain what those individual goals were, and how you exceeded or fell short.
- What one strength did you fill was reinforced through this independent study period?
- What outstanding weakness was reinforced by this period of self-expression, experimentation, etc.?
- Where there any artists, art forms, etc. that were discovered by you during this period?
- Did you have a favorite subject matter, technique, or particular memory that was discovered or experienced during this period of working on your own?
- Was there a particular dreadful, fearful, exasperation that was experienced during this period of self-examination?
- Did you find a particular time of day that you felt more creative, inspired, energized to work?
- If you could do this over again what would you change, keep calm avoid?
- While keeping in mind your observations and answers from the above nine questions, if you had to choose the one thing above all others, that you learned about yourself during this experience, good or bad, positive or negative, what would it be? Be honest, this is for your own growth and self-analysis. Utilize as much space as possible for your narrative.
